  Fluid Applied Roofing Systems
Fluid Applied Roofing Systems Description
A fluid applied roofing system is a energy efficient, high quality coating system that consists of a layered, watertight blanket of elastomeric acrylics, encapsulating a tough stitch bonded polyester fabric. Suitable for both flat and sloping structures, this high-performance product effectively handles roof, deck, and building movement regardless of extreme temperature, thermoshock, earthquakes, hurricanes or flood.

Benefits of a fluid applied roofing systems

• Renewable Lifetime Warranties.
• Seamless monolithic membrane.
• Can be applied directly over any roof membrane.
• Time/cost savings by not removing existing system.
• Roofing warranty (5-yr increments up to 30 yrs) available.
• Can recoat to extend serviceable life indefinitely.

• “Cool Roof” Title 24, recycled material no zinc oxide.
• Class A System.
• Leaks are centralized and easy to fix.
• Fully adhered roofing system.
• Incorporates existing roofing systems thickness.
• Minimal impact to tenants.
• Unlimited color capability.

Thermoplastic polyolefin Roofing Systems

What is TPO? The TPO membrane was first introduced to the roofing market in the early 1990′s as a more economical and efficient alternative that was thought to replace PVC roofing products. TPO is a single ply roofing system that consisting of a thermoplastic polyolefin membrane. This membrane is composed of three layers:

TPO polymer base.
2. Polyester-reinforced fabric center (scrim).
3. Thermoplastic polyolefin compounded top ply.

Common fillers used in TPO manufacturing include but are not limited to: talc, fiberglass, carbon fiber, wollastonite, and Metal Oxy Sulfate. Popular rubbers used in TPO manufacturing include ethylene-propylene rubber and EPDM.

One of the factors that makes TPO roofing attractive both in residential and commercial construction is its reasonable cost. TPO offers many of the same benefits as PVC roofing, such as hot-air weldable seams and energy efficiency, but at a lower cost. TPO is available in white, light grey and black reflective color options. Latest technologies enable all colors of TPO roofing membranes to be UV resistant and “cool”.

TPO is Durable In comparison to other thermoplastic membranes, TPO resists mold growth, dirt accumulation, tears impact, and punctures. It is made to be flexible and allows for a building’s movement or settling. Reinforced TPO membranes can handle a building’s thermal expansion and contraction more effectively than other single ply roofing products. TPO membranes are manufactured with wider sheets and are light weight, making them easier to install. Less work and time associated with the installation translates into direct savings for you on the cost of installation.

TPO Roofing Systems Benefits
• Tough (puncture resistance) and flexible membrane.
• Larger roll size (up to 20’x100’) w/fewer field seams.
• Custom sheet-size (factory-welded seams) available.
• No cant strip at roof-to-curb/wall transitions.

• Full-integration of roofing and flashing (TPO-clad metal)
• Less time-consuming/laborious system installation.
• “Cool Roof”.
• Class A system.
